What We Use and Recommend

Science Diet Kitten Dry

We can't recommend this enough for kittens just starting to eat. The food is rated at a human grade level, has small pellets for tiny mouths, and the kittens gobble it up!

Science Diet Kitten Wet

Hills Science Diet Kitten Wet Food is all we feed our kittens for wet food during the first year. The clean wet food is free from all fillers and other things that can damage digestive tracks in kittens.

Diamond Naturals Kitten Dry

Diamond Naturals Kitten Dry

We love this companies line of natural foods. We feed it to all our pets. We start transitioning over to this dry food as the kittens get old enough to eat kibble. They stay on kitten food for the first year of their life.

Probiotic

Kitty Litter

Diamond Naturals Kitten Dry

We feed probiotics daily for digestive health. We also add in paste if a little one has loose stools. Little ones can go downhill fast and become acute so quickly. Never let a kitten go more than 24-48 hours with loose stools. This is the brand our vet recommends and we have had great success with it! This link is to the kit with both products but you only need the paste if there is an issue. I keep some on hand at all times.

Kitty Litter

We often get asked for recommendations for kitty litter. We've found certain cats like certain types. Because of that we expose them to both clay and pine pellets. We will then let adopters know which their kitty prefers. One good litter to start your kitten on is Dr. E's with the attractant to motivate them to use their new box in their new home.

Litter Box

Our kittens are exposed to closed litterboxes, semi-closed boxes, and open boxes. We also have furniture with boxes inside. We have boxes everywhere because kittens are like toddlers, when they need to go they can't always hold it. That said for sanitation purposes, we prefer stainless steel. Yes they are more expensive but they clean up better and there are no lingering diseases or parasites that are left with plastic products. We dump and bleach our boxes every other day. Stainless holds up for years even with this strict disinfecting process.

Silly Little Brush

Silly Little Brush

This is an inexpensive silly little brush but we love it. Because the cost is low we have several around the house. The kitties love it! We love how it self cleans at the trash can.

Little Ribbon Toys

The kittens love these little ribbon toys and will chase them for hours!

ChomChom Rollers kept getting recommended to me but seemed like an expensive gadget to me. I used the rubber glove method for getting hair off my furniture. One Black Friday sale offered the ChomChom 50% off and I decided to try one. I will never go back! These are amazing! You might want to see if you can get one on sale!
